Howard is a dynamic and passionate speaker, moderator, and workshop host known for his engaging and inspirational sessions. His work spans festivals, libraries, universities, cultural institutions, and international conferences. He has delivered narrative and creative development workshops to participants of all ages, covering topics such as world-building, character creation, story development, and comic book scripting and publishing. His ability to connect with diverse audiences has made him a sought-after guest speaker and educator.
Howard has presented on storytelling, creative culture, and cross-disciplinary innovation at events including Fan Expo Canada, Pocket Gamer Connects: Toronto, PechaKucha, Toronto Comicon, and the Hong Kong International Literary Festival’s Young Readers Festival*. He has also been invited multiple times to SCAD Hong Kong to speak about creative careers and narrative development, mentoring emerging artists and storytellers.
As a National Geographic Mentor, Howard co-developed and co-hosted the culminating workshops for Oceans Tomorrow, a month-long initiative in partnership with the Swire Group Charitable Trust. He also presented at Today at Apple Hong Kong’s first virtual session, where he shared his creative process and impactful environmental storytelling through immersive, narrative-driven experiences.
